Education Minister Norma Foley has confirmed that the major building project announced for Gaelscoil Eois in Clones, will consist of eight classrooms and two special education teaching rooms. According to the Education Minister, this building project has been devolved for delivery to Cavan and Monaghan Education and Training Board.
The Clones school was recently given the green-light to proceed to construction, after construction plans were previously paused by the department due to issues with funding.
Despite delays, Cavan/Monaghan TD, Deputy Brendan Smith, described the new development as "very good news" for the Clones area.
He went on to compliment the local school community on their work in bringing this project to this stage which will provide the most modern accommodation for pupils and staff.
