The Irish Road Haulage Association says it's too early for the Government to scale back fuel supports as oil prices continue to rise.

The group says the cost of crude has climbed above 90 dollars a barrel, with motorists expected to see higher prices at the pumps in the coming days.

It warns removing supports from September as planned, could add to inflation and increase pressure on both transport operators and households.
