Detectives in Cavan are currently investigating two break-ins. The incidents took place at houses in the townland of Dernafast, Loch Gowna near the soccer pitch on the Aughnacliffe Road. According to local Gardaí, these crimes are believed to have occurred between 5pm Saturday the 10th of February and 1pm Sunday the 11th of February. Gardaí in Cavan are appealing to anyone who was in this area and noticed any suspicious activity during this period or passed that way and have dashcam footage to get in touch. You can do so by calling Cavan Garda Station on 049 4368800. Gardaí say it is "highly likely" that these incidents occurred during the hours of darkness.
