Two electoral areas in Monaghan have Covid-19 incidence rates of more than twice the national average.

Ballybay-Clones continues to be the highest in the region in the two weeks up to Monday, with 1,674.8, almost two and half times more than the country.

Carrickmacross-Castleblayney, which for many weeks had a rate below five is now over double the national average at 1,376.2.

Cavan-Belturbet is the highest LEA in Cavan at 986.2.

The north Monaghan MD, and Bailieborough-Cootehill have rates of 863.6 and 806.9 respectively.

Ballyjamesduff LEA is the only area in the local region to have a rate below the country average of 674.4, with 627.9 cases per 100,000 population.
