Two charities, CUAN Cancer Support Cavan and the Down Syndrome Centre North East, have become the latest beneficiaries of ALDI's Community Grants programme, receiving a €500 grant from the ALDI store teams in Counties Cavan and Monaghan.
ALDI's Community Grants programme helps fund local charities and community organisations that contribute vital work and services in their local communities.
Each local charity supported is chosen by ALDI employees, enabling them to help the local good causes they are passionate about.
Welcoming the donations, Minister for Rural and Community Development and local TD, Heather Humphreys, said she is "delighted" that these two charities are to receive this support.
Minister Humphreys added that both charities provide "vital services" within their communities, and she has "no doubt" this support will be of great assistance.
