Two males have been arrested in Co Cavan after a man was hospitalised following an assault.
Local gardaí are investigating the assault that occurred in Bailieborough in the early hours of this morning
A male in his 20s was injured during the incident and taken to hospital via ambulance, while two males, also in their 20s, were arrested.

The two males were taken to Bailieborough Garda Station, where they are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
A garda spokesperson says investigations are ongoing.
