Ukrainian citizens living locally speak of stress and worry following Russian invasion

Natasha Murdock has warned that no-where in Ukraine is safe.

Local residents with ties to Ukraine have been describing their reaction to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Sergiy Balan is a Ukrainian citizen who has been living in Cavan for the past two decades.

His has family still living in Ukraine, and Sergiy says it's a very stressful and worrying period for him and his family.

Sergiy took part in a protest outside the Russian Embassy in Dublin this afternoon.

On this morning's Joe Finnegan Show, Sergiy said innocent Ukrainians are losing their lives in the defence of democracy:

Meanwhile, Ukrainian native Natasha Murdock, who is also living in Co Cavan, has warned that no-where in the country is safe.

Natasha Murdock's parents are still in Ukraine and have tried to flee to a rural area.

She too attended a protest outside the Russian Embassy in Dublin this afternoon, and spoke to The Wider View about the experiences of some of her relatives:
