An update on a major review into the mass cancellation of 999 calls is expected at a Policing Authority meeting today.

A Garda review found up to 500 high-priority crimes weren't investigated because they were wrongly cancelled.

Garda commissioner Drew Harris will today face a second grilling by the Policing Authority, who ordered an independent investigation.
