A wooden sculpture of a deer in the Fairy Forest has had its head forcibly removed.

An act of vandalism has occurred in a local forest park that is dedicated to the memory of a five-year-old child who died from cancer.

Erica's Fairy Forest in Cootehill was created by Erica Ní Draighneain's parents to honour and celebrate her life and to thank the people of Cootehill for their kindness and support.

However, a wooden sculpture of a deer in the Fairy Forest has had its head forcibly removed.
