Monaghan County Council has warned it's had to remove a defibrillator in Monaghan town after it was vandalised at the weekend.

The device at the Motor Tax office in the town centre was damaged on Sunday morning. The incident took place shortly before 7.30am at the building on Market Square.

The Council has said it could take up to two weeks before the machine is replaced.
