Waiting times the 'biggest challenge' in accessing CAMHS

Long waiting times are identified as the biggest challenge in accessing CAMHS, according to a new report on children’s mental health. 78 per cent of children surveyed say they've experienced some mental health difficulties.

Pressure in school, body image and social media were among some of the reasons that led to mental health issues. Children's Ombudsman Dr Niall Muldoon says children need to have proper mental health supports available to them in school.
