A spokesperson for victims of crimes says that people need to look out for one another in rural Ireland.
Tom Brophy, is Chairperson of the Federation for Victim Assistance.
He was speaking in reaction to the story of Sean O'Rinn whose daughter's car was broken into while attending a burial in Cullies.
The window of the car was smashed and a handbag, which contained bank cards, a mobile and other items was taken.
