Local lorry drivers reported having to ‘swerve’ yesterday to avoid a dangerous TikTok stunt.
A group of three young girls are said to have been filming themselves on the Kingscourt Road near Carrickmacross doing the ‘Russian Roulette Challenge’, which saw them taking turns to run in front of traffic , leaving it as close as possible.
Cathaoirleach of Cavan County Council Sarah O’Reilly, says two lorries had to swerve to avoid the group and is urging people to remain vigilant in the area and report any more incidents of this nature to Gardaí.
She says this trend has seen young people elsewhere in the country hospitalised and is encouraging parents to discuss the safety implications of these ‘challenges’ with their children.
