There were 418 new cases of Covid-19 reported yesterday and seven deaths

The World Health Organisation's warning of the danger of a fourth wave of Covid-19 in Ireland as restrictions ease.

The Taoiseach told his parliamentary party last night the country's still 'on track' for the gradual lifting of the lockdown.

Countrywide travel will be allowed from next Monday and all non-essential shops can reopen the following week.

418 new cases of Covid-19 were reported yesterday and seven deaths.

Locally, Cavan is sitting 7th on the table nationally when it comes to incidnece rates.

There were fewer than 5 cases confirmed there yesterday leaving a rate of 143.

While Monaghan has a rate of 83 with 5 cases confirmed in the county yesterday.

In the Shannonside region Leitrim and Roscommon both recorded fewer than five Covid cases last night - Longford had five new Coronavirus cases according to the latest figures.
