Works on the Holy Family School in Cootehill are due to be completed by the end of the year.
Local TD Niamh Smyth says she has received confirmation from the Education Minister, Norma Foley, that they are on target to finish construction by the end of 2020.
The Holy Family Special School caters to pupils aged four to eighteen who have learning disabilities.

Deputy Smyth says students with physical and learning disabilities have been hardest hit by the covid-19 pandemic.
