Work on the new Castleblayney Fire Station is to be completed this month.
Councillors in the area were recently told work had restarted after the Covid-19 lockdown.
Work was expected to be complete in early July with a handover to the fire service this month.
The new station is being built at a site along the old N2 road, complete with training tower and onsite accommodation.
It was first announced in 2016 as one of sixteen new fire stations to be built around the country.
Work is also ongoing on plans for the new Fire Station in Ballybay.
