Podcast: Evelyn Parsons. Over 200 people attended a public meeting in Ballinasloe last night. Indeed, amid massive concern over the downgrading of maternity services in Portiuncula University Hospital in the town.
This follows last month's announcement that high-risk mothers can no longer have their babies in the hospital.
The meeting was chaired by Dr Kevin Connolly, a retired pediatrician from Portiuncula, while Cllr Dr Evelyn Parsons, an Independent councillor, also spoke in detail.
