Ballybay could see a jobs boost after the US Department of Agriculture allowed Kepak to export beef burger patties to the country.
The approval was granted earlier this week, with meat to be processed at Kepak’s Ballybay plant.
A delegation from the company is in New York to meet potential customers from restaurants and supermarkets.
