Local Enterprise Awards have taken place across the Northern Sound region recently, and Aine’s Handmade Chocolate was named the overall winner from Co Cavan.
Master Chocolatier and Stradone native Ann Rudden will now represent Local Enterprise Office Cavan at the 22nd National Enterprise Awards at the Mansion House in Dublin on the 2nd of June.
Other Co Cavan winners on the night included Matt Fitzgerald and Garrett Rothwell of Arch-I Modular Solutions, who won the Best Start Up Business Award.
Meanwhile, the Enterprise Innovation Award went to Malanaphy Machinery, based in West Cavan.
And, the Digital Innovation Award went to EDAC Environmental Compliance.
But our reporter, Diarmuid Pepper, caught up with the overall winner, Ann Rudden, and she began by explaining how Aine's Handmade Chocolates came to be:
