Tánaiste Leo Vararadkar, local Minister Heather Humphreys, and County Council Cathaoirleach Aidan Campbell officially opened the Bally Food Hub in a visit to Co Monaghan last week.

The Ballybay Food Hub offers test Kitchen facilities to both start-up and established businesses to enable them to test their new product ideas before scaling up.

Leo Varadkar said "food production" will play a big role in allowing people to live and work in rural Ireland, and added that the Ballybay Food Hub represents the government's "vision for the future of rural Ireland".
