Longford man Joe Kilbride is living life to the full these days after getting a kidney transplant in 2011.
Joe had become sick several years earlier and was lucky, as he says himself, to only have to undergo five or six years of dialysis before he got the green light for the operation.
It was a life changing experience for him, and he's urging everyone to carry a donor card, and to "have that conversation" with relatives and friends.

Joe came into the Shannonside/Northern studios today to tell Joe Finnegan about his story.
