This morning on The Joe Finnegan Show the celebrations of Mullinalaghta St Columba's great win over Kilmacud Crokes continued.
The David versus Goliath clash took place in Bord na Móna O'Connor Park in Tullamore yesterday afternoon with the Longford half parish emerging victorious against the huge Dublin force that is the Kilmacud Crokes club.
Stalwart fan of Mullinalaghta St Columba's Marie Matthews who is aunt to the five McElligott lads that play on the squad told Joe that she still couldn't believe it when she woke up this morning. Meanwhile, her brother-in-law Kerry native Big Dan McElligott, who lined out as a senior for Monaghan in his playing days himself, said Santa had come early to Mullinalaghta.
