At this time of year, stages across the country are being prepped, greenroom kettles are being kept on the boil and lines are being read and re-read.

Local drama groups are a great way for interaction within the community and for everyone to feel inclusive.

That's the view of one of the organisers behind the Ballybay Drama group.

Brid McCabe says it's been great to get back to rehearsals with the group and equally as great to bring back the community together following the covid pandemic.

Brid paid tribute to the Aidan McQuillan who she says was the inspiration behind the County Monaghan drama group.

Joe also spoke to Kevin Woods from the Roscommon Drama Group about the welcome on offer to new members.
