A monument was unveiled in Athlone Barracks on Friday dedicated to the memories of the families of the personnel of A Company 35th infantry battalion who took part in the Seige of Jadotville in September 1961.
The organisation of the event was discussed by Antoinette Tighe, Leo Quinlan, Gerard Craughwell and Danny Tiernan.
