Are we doing enough to remember the dark days of Irish History?

While we may have heard or even experienced the American wakes, the American cross is perhaps something that's fading into the depths of our history.

These crosses were dotted all across Ireland - and were departure points for people who were emigrating to America.  Independent Councillor in Monaghan Paudge Connolly is looking for the story behind them to be preserved, and for these cross roads to be marked.
