HEAR MORE: Drivers needed to take people to chemotherapy appointments

Volunteer drivers are being sought locally to take cancer patients to their chemotherapy appointments.

The Irish Cancer Society is appealing for drivers in the local region to help transport people to chemotherapy appointments in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.

The aim of the service is to remove the worry, difficulty and financial burden of travelling at an already stressful time.

Gail Flinter from the Irish Cancer Society spoke to Caroline Gauley on The Wider View programme and started by explaining a little bit more about the initiative:
