Many businesses including nightclubs and bars have seen a rise in insurance prices, and in some cases have been forced to close.
Large amounts of claims as well as fraudulent claims are said to be the blame for the increases. Local businesses are suffering with Killinkere Visitor Farm closed at the end of May, despite engagement with four brokers in a bid to get cover as the costs were too high, as well as Club V in Virginia blaming rising costs for its closure last week.
