44 years ago, the local region experienced one of the worst atrocities of The Troubles.
The Dublin-Monaghan bombings killed 34 people and injured hundreds more.
It’s an event that shook the people of the local area and is still very much remembered.

Seamus Keenan was a hospital porter at the time and found himself in the thick of the action.
