St. Mary's National School in Threemilehouse are celebrating their Golden Jubilee this weekend.
The school, which is described by staff as the centre of the community, will mark their 50th anniversary on Saturday and Sunday this weekend.
The main event is Sunday when a mass will take place followed by a walk through the school where past pupils will meet current pupils and all will reminisce together.
Work to get the events together have been ongoing since May and the Andrea Malone, Principal of the school, has commended the efforts of all involved and is inviting the public to attend the celebrations.
Our reporter Sheila Naughton paid a visit to the school this week where she met students past and present, staff, and was treated to a series of performances that were prepared especially for this weekend.
