'26 Mountains 2 Mayo challenge' to cover local region. A team of over 20 business leaders from across the island of Ireland, UK and USA have launched their 26 Mountains 2 Mayo challenge. The challenge is in aid of Cancer Fund for Children.
This charity empowers, connects and strengthens children, young people and families impacted by cancer.
From last Friday, until this coming Sunday, June 15th these dedicated supporters will climb the highest point in each county across Ireland. The aim is to raise €1,000,000.
Starting with Errigal in Donegal, they will cover the hills and mountains across Ulster. The climbers will move into Connacht, across to Leinster and down to Munster. Then making their way back to Connacht for the final leg.
Those involved will pass through the local region today covering, Cuilcagh, Breifne and Slieve Beagh.
