September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, with a number of fundraising events and information sessions planned for families, and a Carrickmacross woman says her childhood cancer diagnosis inspired her to train as a nurse to help others.
Ciara Downey was diagnosed with Leukaemia in 2011 and has recently qualified as a nurse, with plans to specialise in childhood cancer.
Ciara joined Aaron McElroy on The Wider View and started by speaking about her own diagnosis.
