A 20-year-old Cavan man recently received the top President's Award by Michael D Higgins at Aras an Uachtarain.
Conor Gannon from Ballytrust in Ballinagh is a former pupil of St Patrick's College, where he earned the Gaisce Gold Award in recognition of the work he done in the community back in 2021.
Our reporter Jodie Curran spoke caught up with the young Ballinagh man following the prestigious award ceremony.

She began by asking him to explain more about himself and why he wanted to give more back to his local community:
