LISTEN BACK: Cavan mother's "fight will go on" for autism supports for son

A Cavan mother says "the fight will still goes on" to get support for her child with autism.

Joanne Regan has been waiting 18 months for her son Joey to get his first therapy session.

She is just one of the many parents across the region who are in this situation, and she shared her story with Aaron McElroy.

Aontú Councillor in Cavan, Sarah O'Reilly raised these issues at a recent meeting of Cavan County Council, having spoken to a number of families.

She told Aaron that what Joanne is going through is unfortunately quite common.
