A Munterconnaught woman is behind 'Cures from The Hollow' which is a book that was launched at the Cavan County Museum a number of weeks ago.
For two years, Sarah McKenna Dunne has spent travelling the length and breadth of Cavan and the surrounding counties, interviewing people who have 'the cure' and asking what does it mean to have ancient tradition in modern Ireland.
The book also finds out who are these people with cures? How did they get their cure? Why do they make it? Can they pass it on?
This book is an intimate insight of this two year journey.
Sarah spoke with Ronan Gargan on the Wider View about the work that went into creating her new book.
