Funding for the fire services in the Northern Sound region has been welcomed locally.
Today, Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage James Browne announced €328.5 million Fire Services Capital Programme 2026-2030.
Within this funding, €1 million allocated for refurbishment works at Kingscourt Fire Station in Co. Cavan, and €850,000 has been allocated for works at Carrickmacross Fire Station in Co. Monaghan. Local councillor in Kingscourt Clifford Kelly joined Ronan Gargan today to welcome the funding of €1 million in Kingscourt.
