Listen Back: Father of missing Carrick student issues urgent appeal. A Carrickmacross father said he cannot describe the level of humanity shown to him and his family; as searches continue in Galway today for Conor Harrington.

The 20-year-old was last seen at the Salmon Weir Pedestrian cycle bridge in Galway city at around 9.30pm last Wednesday.

The Harrington family are appealing for volunteers to continue the search. Moreover, people meeting daily at Galway Bay Sailing Club in Renville in the hopes of finding Conor; and brining him home to Carrickmacross.

Furthermore, Conor's family said they "couldn't have been prouder" of the 20-year-old; who was a second year law student at the University of Galway.

His father John spoke of his "giving nature"; stating that anyone who knew Conor, knew that he always loved to put others first, whether that was friends, family or giving to charity.

Jodie Curran spoke with John Harrington who says there's "no such thing as a bad idea" when it comes to ways people can help locate Conor and bring him home to Carrickmacross:
