A controversy has erupted over Versatis patches which are used as a form of pain relief for many people.
The HSE says there's been no withdrawal of cover for the patches for people with a medical card or on the drug payments scheme.
However, many have said they've been refused them or have found it increasingly difficult to get a prescription.
