Listen Back: Local calls for changes to pregnancy loss leave. A motion raised in the recent meeting of Monaghan County Council; relating to paid leaves for people who suffer miscarriages.
Moreover, the motion called on the Minister of Finance, Health and Social Protection; to introduce 6 weeks paid leave for mother's who experience miscarriage/pregnancy loss before 24 weeks of pregnancy.
Furthermore, they want to see the payment made available through Department of Social protection and issued in a similar way to maternity leave.
Niamh McCooey raised the motion, which was seconded by Colm Carthy.
