A local councillor has called on Cavan County Council to help support local towns and villages to become dementia friendly.
Cllr Damien Brady said over 64,000 people have dementia in Ireland with over 1,000 living in Cavan.
He said simple adaptations can make a huge difference to someone who has dementia.

Cllr Brady said simple changes would also reduce the stigma that is surrounding dementia. He joined Ronan Gargan on today's show.
