A Bailieboro native has taken on a skydive in support of Youth Suicide Prevention Ireland earlier this week.
Paul Curran is on a mission to remove the stigma and the taboo surrounding mental health issues and make it part of a wider conversation in society.
The local man says he took on the skydive to raise €1,000 for Youth Suicide Prevention Ireland, because far too many young people are fighting battles they feel they have to face alone.
Speaking to Northern Sound, he said he was at more than double his original target with his fundraiser.
Paul said it was more than just raising money but to show young people that they are seen, they are valued, and they are never alone.
He joined Ronan Gargan on today's show to share his own story surrounding his mental health struggles.
