Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, James Browne TD, and Minister of State for Nature, Heritage and Biodiversity, Christopher O'Sullivan TD, today announced the 122 projects that will be awarded €7.5 million in funding under the 2025 Community Monuments Fund. €132,084 in funding was allocated to Co Cavan whilst Co Monaghan received €45,239 in funding. Under the scheme, €100,000 went to Moneygashel in West Cavan, while €32,084 went to Enagh Widmill & Lime Kiln. Elsewhere in Co Monaghan, €30,000 was allocated to St Patrick's Well, Clonfad and Killevan Abbey received €15,239.
Fianna Fáil Councillor, John Paul Feeley has warmly welcomed the allocation of € 100,000 to complete conservation works to Moneygashel Cashel which is located not far from Cavan Burren Park.
