She was pounding the pavements of Kingscourt and Ballybay in the region on Saturday afternoon. to drum up support for Catherine Connolly.
Along with Sinn Féin, Ms Connolly has the support of Labour, the Social Democrats, People Before Profit and the Green Party.

Moreover, joining Mary Lou was local senator Pauline Tully and local Councillor Stiofán Conaty; as they campaigned for Independent Candidate Catherine Connolly.
She spoke to Ronan Gargan about a number of issues.
