Eleven pedigree rams who were stolen from near Cootehill have been found near Oram in Co Monaghan.
The theft occurred between last Thursday evening and Friday morning from a roadside field near Tullyvin.
Frank Mc Govern from Rathkenny Farm said he was shocked to find the rams were taken but said he never gave up hope. Frank said members of Cavan Gardai were excellent, praising how quick they were in reaching the farm after the theft was reported.
The pedigree rams are made up of 6 Charollais, 4 Texal, and 1 Lleyn. The Co Cavan farmer said the power of social media shown through following an appeal online.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Mr Mc Govern said the rams had been 'dumped' on an unsuspecting farmers land near Oram, some 40kms away from the lands they were taken from. Framk joined Ronan Gargan on today's show.
