The annual event is a cross-industry initiative to promote safer gambling in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Moreover, it runs from the 17th – 23th November 2025.
Now in its eighth year, Safer Gambling Week is an initiative is designed to drive awareness of how to approach gambling responsibly. Bookmakers throughout the betting industry will also highlight the many safer gambling tools available; these tools will help customers stay in control of their gambling.
Furthermore, the Gambling Regulation Act set up in the past 12 months. It has been described as a bill that was long overdue. Co Cavan gambling councillor, Darragh King says the bill is about making gambling safer and adds a number of protections.
He says much of the bill hasn't been implemented as of yet. Indeed, he hopes this process can be sped up. Darragh spoke in detail to Ronan Gargan about the week and the services that are available in the locality.
