Monaghan traffic having 'disastrous impact' on trade. A local councillor has highlighted her concerns over severe traffic congestion going into Monaghan Town. According to Cllr Sinead Flynn, locals from Threemilehouse and Clones areas (in particular) often avoid travelling into Monaghan Town, due to high volumes of traffic.
The Sinn Fein representative raised the issue at this month's meeting of Monaghan County Council. Moreover, she asked what plans were in place to tackle the issue and reduce the traffic at peak times. Jodie Curran spoke to Cllr Flynn about the matter:
