AS REQUESTED: Cavan man urges people to talk to their loved ones about organ donation

Almost 300 organ transplants were carried out on Irish people last year.

That's a 12 per cent increase on 2015 according to the Irish Kidney Association, which launched
organ donor awareness week today.

David Crosby from Kingcourt in Cavan spoke at today's launch in Dublin.  He underwent a double lung transplant in 2015, after suffering a similar condition to that of his three siblings who passed away from it.
