The PwC GPA/GAA all star football team of 2020 will be announced in the morning (Friday 19th).
From a local perspective there will be a keen interest on the Cavan nominees with 7 players nominated following their Ulster success in lifting the Anglo Celt cup for the first time in 23 years.
The Breffni counties last All Star success was back in 1997 with Dermot Mc Cabe and 1978 with Ollie Brady.
They certainly would be hoping to surpass those 2 accolades with Raymond Galligan shortlisted alongside Stephen Cluxton of Dublin and David Clarke of Mayo for the goalkeeping position.
Ciaran Brady, Padraig Faulkner and Gerry Smith are nominated in the defence with Gearoid Mc Kiernan at midfield. Martin Reilly and Thomas Galligan are vying for one of the 6 forward positions.
The Hurling all star team will be announced live on Saturday night along with the Footballer and young footballer of the year.
