AS REQUESTED: €11.5 million has been allocated to 10 visitor sites on Ireland’s Ancient East

11.5 million euro has been allocated to 10 visitor sites which are included in Ireland’s Ancient East.

While Cavan and Monaghan are included in the Ireland’s Ancient East initiative - none of this 11.5 million will be coming to this region.

But could other funding be coming down the line?

Frank Shalvey is with the Office of Public Works, who manage a number of heritage sites across Ireland.

He spoke about what the 11.5 million will be spent on.
