Leona Maguire shot a two over par 74 to finish tied for 56th at the KIA classic in Carlsbad California. It started badly for the Cavan woman who shot a bogey five at the par four fourth and an eight at the par five fifth. A strong recovery followed with four birdies in a row at seven, eight, nine and 10.
However another eight at the par four 13th stalled the good progress. Birdies at the par four 16th and the par five 17 saw Maguire finish with a two over par 74. 16 shots off outright winner Inbee Park who finished on 14 under for the tournament with the American pairing of Amy Olson and Lexi Thompson completing the top 3 on 9 under
