Gneeveguilla too strong for Denn in All-Ireland junior semi-final

Denn’s hopes of an All-Ireland junior football final place were ended by Gneeveguilla as the Kerry champions ran out 5-8 to 1-12 winners at O’Connor Park in Tullamore.

Gneeveguilla led 4-4 to 0-4 at the break; the goals coming from Shane O’Sullivan (two), John O’Leary and Pa Warren while Ben Conaty chipped in with two points for Denn.

Cavell Keogan registered Denn’s first goal one minute into the second half but the result was never in doubt and a Jack Cremin goal with one minute remaining sealed victory for Gneeveguilla.
